Social Media and Marketing Officer

Working closely with Little Barn Door Founding Director and Business Operations Manager, the Social Media and Marketing Officer  is responsible for raising awareness of the Little Barn Door brand and group of companies across fresh and innovative channels.

What tasks does the role include?

Social Media

  • Day to day running of social media accounts including the social media scheduler

  • Developing the tone of voice for all channels by working closely with the management team

  • Weekly/monthly reports on performance, growth, engagement and revenue driven from channels, plus reports on adhoc/seasonal social campaigns

  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends

  • Develop innovative and creative content across social media platforms and contribute to the overall social media strategy - including design ideas and installation lives.

  • Work with the design team to create engaging, sharable content across all channels to tie in with trading calendar and which will create buzz around new products and launches

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness

  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a cohesive social media identity

  • Keep track of social media trends and competition

Communication & Service

  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries, working closely with the staging support care team

  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans

 Marketing 

  • Help to create marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns

  • Source advertising opportunities and place adverts in the press or on the radio

  • Work closely external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts

  • Write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns

  • Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts

  • Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions

  • Source and secure sponsorship

  • Liaise with designers and printers and organise photo shoots

  • Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials

  • Maintain and update customer databases

  • Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups

  • Develop online marketing strategies and execution plans


Requirements

Essential requirements:

  • Proven work experience in a social media role

  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms

  • In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels

  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Multitasking and analytical skills

  • Some influencer outreach experience is desirable, with good contacts.
